About Nelson Trails
Started in December 2015, Nelson Trails is a personal project developed by a born and bred Nelsonian with a passion for the outdoors, but very little website development knowledge! The aim of the website is to provide a useful resource for the tracks and trails the region has to offer. Trails are continually being added, so keep checking back. If there are any trails you’d like to be added, please contact me using the email address below.
Support Nelson Trails
If you find Nelson Trails useful and would like to offer your support to keep it running, or raise an idea around potential collaboration in order to enhance the site, please get in touch using the email address below. Nelson Trails requires a small amount of funding to cover website hosting and mapping software. Consequently, ads are necessary to try to cover some of these costs. Any donations will be greatly appreciated and your generosity will be recognised!
Data, Images and Information
Nelson Trails utilises publicly-available data and map layers provided by LINZ, Nelson City Council and Tasman District Council. All track layers and associated information have been developed by the website owner. All images on Nelson Trails have been taken by the website owner, but have been made available for Nelson Trails visitors to re-use. Information provided on Nelson Trails strives to be as true and accurate as possible.
While the website owner has taken all reasonable skill, care and due diligence in providing accurate and complete information on this website, they assume no responsibility for commitment to update the information or materials on this website, which may result in some information being out of date. Representation of tracks on this website does not necessarily indicate public right of access, and permission should be obtained accordingly from the appropriate authorities if access is sought. To be sure you are getting the most up-to-date information, please contact the Department of Conservation, Nelson City Council, or Tasman District Council.
