Day’s Track

Day’s Track

Day’s Track is a sealed walkway over the Tahuna Hills, linking Rocks Road with Toi Toi Valley via Princes Drive. Beginning on Rocks Road roughly 400 m past the traffic lights (see Access tab below), the sealed stepped pathway heads straight uphill between private properties. The track corridor is well-shaded by established trees. After 200 m the track reaches Grenville Tce.

Day’s Track between Grenville Tce and Moncrieff Ave was washed out during several days of heavy rain in 2011. This section of the walkway has only recently been re-opened (mid 2017), with new wooden steps and good drainage reinstated. There’s also a new seat with an attractive mosaic design.

Day’s Track continues on the uphill side of Moana Ave opposite Moncrieff Ave for 60 m before reaching Princes Drive. The track continues directly across the road, dropping down a series of steps passing native trees and some heritage sequoias, before Toi Toi Street is reached 180 m later.
